Concorde G-BOAA on the Thames and the London Eye - 13th
April
Review - April saw the historic move of Concorde G-BOAA from Heathrow to the Museum of
Flight at East Fortune, Scotland. The aircraft was dismantled by Air
Salvage International and moved by road to Isleworth where she was loaded onto
the Terra Marique barge for her journey via the Thames and the North Sea
to Scotland.
On 13th April G-BOAA stopped by the Houses of Parliament for a short time before
beginning her journey under Westminster Bridge, past the London Eye to the sea.
G-BOAA arrived safely at East Fortune on 19th April (bottom image as appeared in
Aircraft Illustrated July 2004).
